Here's my intro:
They are everywhere…
… in every corner, in every land, on every continent. And there is no escape. They are the powers that be, incompetent bankers, politicians, self-righteous media shits, politically correct mannequins, industrialists, publishers, and editors. They are those easily subjugated individuals who rigorously maintain and enforce systems invented by the clinically insane. They are the real crooks, villains, and mass murderers of our fine age.
In Part II of the Recession Session, I have chosen a wide spectrum of artists and rebels, dead and alive, who somehow exemplify the trouble we are in. Why was Australia’s greatest ever writer reduced to begging on the streets of Sydney? Why are some of the greatest minds of our generation languishing amongst the human detritus of the subterranean literary sewers?
There are no easy answers. And as our over-populated world slumps into a global depression and people begin eating and killing each other, I for one won’t be guilty of sticking my head in the sand!
To write is to burn and from here on, every artist needs to be on fire. No reaction, no future!
